Songs From a 5 Year Old

I love that since starting Pre-K our daughter comes home singing songs. Like...

"January, February, March, and April. May, June, July, and August. September, October, November, December. Those are the months of the year."

While it is helpful for learning the months, it is also annoying to have in your head for a full day. Another one blesses my heart whenever I hear it.

"G-O-D, He's the one for me. G-O-D, He's the love of my life."

Seriously. It is precious to listen to. For some reason, she doesn't like to hear Jesus Loves Me that much but she adores this song. Oh yes, and it is probably obvious that we picked a church related Preschool. I'm very happy we did.

One song that she has been singing lately also makes me giggle. It's clear I have changed what I listen to while in the car. Good for me AND her.

"Positive, encouraging...KLOVE!"

She's been known to bust out with that tune in the middle of a busy grocery store. I try not to be embarrassed and instead embrace the awesomeness of it all.

Wait until she learns, "Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and then it starts again!" ;)
