I had never had homemade mayo until about 6 months ago. Let me tell you, there is a HUGE difference in the taste. Some people feel funny about it for various reasons but I would rather make it and know what I am eating then eat a bunch of things I can barely pronounce. Get my drift?
So, here is the way I make mayo from scratch.
You can flavor it with anything. I am dying to make a lemon basil version. Mmm. My mouth is watering.

That is so interesting. I never thought of making my own mayonnaise before. I might have to give this a try sometime!
Did you use 'regular' eggs? Or do they need to be a special kind?
